Sorghum Flour is also known as juwar, or Jowar flour, and is simply ground whole grain Sorghum or pseudo-grain as it is sometimes known. It's light in colour and has a subtle, slightly sweet flavour making it a great gluten-free substitute for other flours in baking.
Sorghum is the seed of a grass similar in size and flavour to millet. An ancient cereal grain common throughout Australasia and Africa, the wholegrain is used for milling into this lovely soft flour with a mild flavour.
Sorghum is known to be rich in phenolic compounds, many of which act as antioxidants.
